MLA Kulwant Singh Promotes Responsive Governance Through Public Meetings
Residents from different parts of SAS Nagar (Mohali) met MLA Kulwant Singh at his constituency office on 20 July 2026 to discuss a wide range of public grievances, civic issues, and local development concerns. The public interaction provided citizens with an opportunity to directly communicate with their elected representative and seek timely solutions to matters affecting their daily lives.
During the meeting, residents raised issues related to road repairs, drainage systems, water supply, sanitation, street lighting, public infrastructure, civic amenities, and the implementation of various public welfare schemes. MLA Kulwant Singh carefully listened to each representation and assured citizens that every genuine concern would be forwarded to the concerned government departments and officials for prompt action and continuous follow-up until resolution.
The interaction reflected the importance of regular public grievance meetings in strengthening transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance. Such meetings enable elected representatives to better understand local priorities while improving coordination between government departments and the public. They also encourage greater community participation in the development process and help ensure that public services are delivered more efficiently.
MLA Kulwant Singh emphasised that continuous dialogue with residents plays a vital role in identifying grassroots challenges and accelerating development works across the constituency. He noted that regular interactions not only improve governance but also strengthen public trust by creating a direct channel of communication between citizens and the administration.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said:
“Serving the people and addressing their concerns remains my highest priority. Every issue brought before me will be pursued with the concerned departments to ensure timely and effective resolution. Our objective is to strengthen public services, improve civic infrastructure, and ensure that every resident of Mohali benefits from transparent and responsive governance.”
He further said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to focus on people-centric governance, improved civic infrastructure, transparent administration, and the efficient delivery of public services. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that development initiatives reach every section of society and contribute to the overall progress of SAS Nagar (Mohali).
The meeting concluded with constructive discussions and a renewed commitment to strengthening public service delivery through regular citizen engagement and coordinated administrative action. As Mohali continues to grow as one of Punjab’s leading urban centres, such public outreach programmes remain an important platform for addressing local concerns, improving civic infrastructure, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents across the constituency.
