MLA Kulwant Singh Meets Residents to Review Local Development Needs
MLA Kulwant Singh held a public interaction programme in SAS Nagar Mohali on 3 June 2026, where residents from different parts of the constituency gathered to discuss civic concerns, public welfare matters, and local development priorities. The meeting provided citizens with a direct platform to communicate their grievances and seek assistance, reflecting the Punjab Government’s continued commitment to transparent, responsive, and citizen-centric governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Residents from various sectors, villages, residential colonies, and neighbourhoods participated in the programme and raised issues related to roads, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public utilities, civic infrastructure, welfare schemes, and other community concerns. The interaction enabled people to highlight the challenges faced in their localities while strengthening communication between citizens and their elected representative.
During the meeting, MLA Kulwant Singh carefully listened to every representation and reviewed each matter in detail. He assured residents that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments and local authorities, and that regular follow-up would be maintained to ensure timely action and effective resolution. He emphasised that public interaction programmes are an important means of understanding the needs of the people and improving the delivery of government services.
Regular public grievance meetings have become a key component of responsive governance in Mohali. Such interactions help improve transparency, strengthen accountability, and create a direct bridge between citizens and the administration. Feedback received during these meetings also helps identify development priorities and ensures that infrastructure projects and welfare initiatives remain aligned with the expectations of local communities.
As Mohali continues to emerge as one of Punjab’s fastest-growing urban centres, maintaining efficient public services and robust civic infrastructure remains a top priority. Continued investment in roads, sanitation, water supply, healthcare, education, public amenities, and community facilities is essential to support the city’s expanding population and improve the quality of life for residents across both urban and rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that listening to the concerns of residents and ensuring their timely resolution is one of his foremost responsibilities as a public representative. He stated that direct interaction with citizens enables a better understanding of local challenges and helps ensure that development remains focused on the real needs of the people.
He further said that every issue raised during the meeting would be pursued with the concerned departments to facilitate prompt action. He reaffirmed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, improving citizen services, and delivering development that benefits every village, sector, colony, and neighbourhood of Mohali.
The meeting concluded with constructive discussions and a renewed commitment to responsive governance, public welfare, and community development. Through regular public engagement, close coordination with government departments, and sustained investment in infrastructure and citizen services, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building a stronger, more progressive, and citizen-focused SAS Nagar Mohali.
