MLA Kulwant Singh Assures Timely Resolution of Local Issues in Saidpur
A Lok Milni programme was organised in Village Saidpur, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 2 July 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with local residents to review public grievances, discuss ongoing development works, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for direct communication between citizens and their elected representative while sharing updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, villagers raised concerns related to roads, drainage, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public infrastructure, and other civic amenities affecting their daily lives. MLA Kulwant Singh listened attentively to every representation and assured the residents that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned government departments on priority. He emphasised that continuous follow-up would be maintained to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances and the effective implementation of development works.
Residents were also informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali during the past four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, sanitation, drinking water facilities, public utilities, and citizen services that have significantly improved the quality of life across the constituency. Villagers were encouraged to actively participate in the development process by sharing constructive suggestions and helping identify local priorities for future planning.
Regular Lok Milni programmes play an important role in promoting transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. Such interactions strengthen coordination between government departments and local communities, improve awareness about government welfare schemes, and ensure that development initiatives remain aligned with the actual needs and aspirations of the people. They also provide an effective platform for citizens to directly communicate their concerns and contribute to better planning and implementation of public projects.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that direct interaction with residents is essential for understanding grassroots issues and delivering effective, people-centric governance. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Saidpur for their warm welcome, active participation, and valuable suggestions, stating that their feedback would continue to guide future development across the constituency.
He further encouraged villagers to remain actively involved in community meetings and continue supporting development initiatives through regular communication with the administration. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the foundation of transparent governance, better civic amenities, and sustainable long-term development throughout Mohali.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, strengthening rural infrastructure, and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali.
