Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Conducts Public Outreach Programme in Mohali
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office during a public interaction programme, where citizens from various sectors, villages, and localities shared civic issues and development-related concerns affecting their neighbourhoods. The meeting formed part of the Mayor’s ongoing initiative to strengthen direct communication with residents and ensure that every citizen has easy access to the Municipal Corporation for resolving public grievances and improving civic services.
During the interaction, residents highlighted a wide range of issues related to roads, drainage, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, waste management, cleanliness, sewerage, parks, public infrastructure, and other municipal services. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana listened attentively to every representation, reviewed the issues in detail, and assured the citizens that all genuine concerns falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be taken up on priority. He directed the concerned officials to examine the complaints and ensure timely action for their effective resolution.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing development works and future civic priorities across Mohali. Residents shared valuable suggestions for improving municipal services and appreciated the opportunity to interact directly with the Mayor. Such public grievance meetings help the Municipal Corporation better understand local requirements, identify areas requiring immediate attention, and ensure that development projects remain aligned with the expectations of the people.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana emphasised that regular interaction with citizens is essential for transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. He encouraged residents to continue participating actively in the development process by sharing constructive suggestions and promptly reporting civic issues so that they can be resolved without unnecessary delay.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people and ensuring timely resolution of public grievances remains one of his highest priorities. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen urban infrastructure, improve municipal services, and deliver transparent, responsive, and citizen-centric governance. He added that the Municipal Corporation will continue working in close coordination with all concerned departments to enhance civic amenities and improve the quality of life for every resident of Mohali.
He further reaffirmed that the Municipal Corporation remains committed to accelerating development works, modernising civic infrastructure, and ensuring efficient public service delivery throughout the city. He expressed confidence that active cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and municipal officials will play a vital role in building a cleaner, greener, smarter, and better-connected Mohali.
