Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Evaluates Progress of Paver Block Installation in Mohali
Paver block installation work has commenced in Ward No. 40, Sector 77, SAS Nagar Mohali, under the leadership of Municipal Councillor Bibi Kamaljit Kaur. The project has been initiated to strengthen local civic infrastructure by improving pedestrian pathways, enhancing public spaces, and providing safer and more convenient movement for residents.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana reviewed the ongoing development work and welcomed the commencement of the project, describing it as an important step towards improving neighbourhood infrastructure and modernising civic amenities. He said that quality public infrastructure plays a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of residents while contributing to the overall beautification and planned development of the city.
During the inspection, the Mayor reviewed the progress of the paver block installation and interacted with the concerned officials regarding the quality of work and implementation schedule. He directed them to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high construction standards so that residents can benefit from the upgraded infrastructure without unnecessary delays.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana stated that the Municipal Corporation is committed to carrying out development works across every ward based on the needs and priorities of local communities. He said that projects such as paver block installation not only improve pedestrian safety and accessibility but also contribute to better drainage management, cleaner surroundings, and more organised public spaces.
He also appreciated the efforts of Councillor Bibi Kamaljit Kaur for actively pursuing development initiatives in Ward No. 40 and working closely with the Municipal Corporation to improve civic amenities for local residents. He said that the cooperation between elected representatives and municipal officials plays an important role in ensuring the timely execution of development projects.
Addressing the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen urban infrastructure, improve public facilities, and promote balanced development across SAS Nagar Mohali. He added that the Municipal Corporation remains committed to upgrading roads, walkways, parks, drainage systems, and other essential civic infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for citizens.
The Mayor further assured residents that development projects would continue to be implemented across all wards with a focus on transparency, quality, and timely completion. He emphasised that continuous investment in civic infrastructure is essential for building a cleaner, safer, and more liveable city capable of meeting the needs of its growing population.
