Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana participated in a Public Dialogue Programme organised at Phase 6, SAS Nagar Mohali, under the leadership of Senior Deputy Mayor R. P. Sharma. The event brought together local residents, community members, and civic representatives for an open discussion on development projects, public welfare initiatives, and civic issues affecting different parts of the city.
The programme served as an important platform for direct interaction between elected representatives and citizens. Residents shared their views, suggestions, and concerns regarding civic infrastructure, sanitation, roads, water supply, public amenities, and other development-related matters. The discussion also highlighted the Punjab Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen urban infrastructure and improve the quality of life for the people of Mohali.
Addressing the gathering, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana emphasised that maintaining regular communication with citizens is essential for transparent and responsive governance. He stated that public dialogue programmes not only help the administration understand the real needs of residents but also encourage greater public participation in the city’s development process.
He informed the gathering about various infrastructure projects, public welfare schemes, and municipal initiatives currently being implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali. He said the Municipal Corporation remains committed to ensuring better civic facilities, cleaner surroundings, improved public services, and sustainable urban development for all residents.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana further stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to deliver transparent governance, efficient public services, and inclusive development. He added that every project undertaken by the government is focused on improving the everyday lives of citizens while creating modern, well-planned, and citizen-friendly urban infrastructure.
During the interactive session, several residents appreciated the developmental work being carried out in Mohali while also raising suggestions related to local civic facilities and neighbourhood improvements. Mayor Samana patiently listened to the concerns raised by citizens and assured them that the Municipal Corporation would continue working with dedication to resolve public grievances in a timely and effective manner.
He also expressed his gratitude to Senior Deputy Mayor R. P. Sharma, the organisers, and all the residents who participated in the programme. Appreciating the enthusiastic response from the public, he said that active community participation plays a vital role in building a stronger, cleaner, and more progressive Mohali.
