Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Expresses Appreciation for Public Support and Cooperation
SAS Nagar, Mohali: Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of SAS Nagar Mohali for the trust, confidence, and overwhelming support they have extended to him after assuming the responsibility of Mayor. He thanked the people for their continued faith in his leadership and reaffirmed his commitment to serving every citizen with honesty, transparency, and unwavering dedication.
The Mayor said that being entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Municipal Corporation is both a great honour and a significant responsibility. He assured residents that every effort would be made to strengthen civic infrastructure, improve municipal services, and ensure balanced and inclusive development across all sectors and villages of Mohali.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana stated that his administration will focus on enhancing sanitation, road infrastructure, water supply, street lighting, drainage, waste management, public parks, and other essential civic amenities. He emphasised that improving the quality of life for residents through efficient public services and sustainable urban planning will remain one of the Municipal Corporation’s highest priorities.
The Mayor further highlighted the importance of working in close coordination with councillors, Municipal Corporation officials, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), market associations, and citizens to identify local priorities and resolve public issues effectively. He said that active public participation and constructive cooperation are essential for building a cleaner, greener, smarter, and more organised Mohali.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana also reiterated that transparent governance, accountability, and regular public interaction will continue to guide the functioning of the Municipal Corporation. He noted that maintaining direct communication with residents helps the administration better understand public expectations and deliver citizen-centric services in a more efficient and responsive manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban infrastructure, modernising civic amenities, improving municipal services, and promoting transparent and people-centric governance throughout the state. He affirmed that the Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar Mohali, will continue working with dedication, integrity, and accountability to fulfil the aspirations of the people and accelerate the city’s overall development.
The Mayor concluded by once again thanking the residents for their trust and support, stating that their encouragement serves as a constant source of motivation. He expressed confidence that with the active cooperation of citizens, elected representatives, and Municipal Corporation officials, Mohali will continue progressing towards becoming a cleaner, greener, smarter, and more sustainable city that offers world-class civic infrastructure and an improved quality of life for every resident.
