Mohali: Mohali Kings produced a sensational batting display to chase down a target of 178 runs in just 13 overs, defeating Jalandhar Warriors by eight wickets in the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League at the I.S. Bindra Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.
The match was reduced to 14 overs per side, but the shortened format did little to affect the scoring rate. After being asked to bat first, Jalandhar Warriors posted 177 for seven in their allotted 14 overs, setting Mohali Kings a challenging target.
Jalandhar Warriors Make Strong Start
Jalandhar Warriors got off to an aggressive start, with openers Vishwanath Singh and Prabhsimran Singh putting together a quick 63-run opening partnership.
Vishwanath Singh played an attacking innings, scoring 40 runs off just 19 balls, while Prabhsimran Singh contributed 37 off 18 deliveries.
The opening stand gave Jalandhar early momentum, but Mohali Kings managed to break the partnership and put some pressure back on the batting side.
Jalandhar subsequently lost a few wickets in quick succession. However, Harjas Tandon kept the innings moving with an impressive attacking knock of 37 off only 16 balls.
Towards the end of the innings, Abhinav Sharma and Mayank Gupta added valuable runs. Abhinav remained unbeaten on 16 off 10 balls, while Mayank finished with an unbeaten 16 off just six deliveries.
Jalandhar Warriors eventually reached 177 for seven in 14 overs.

Ramandeep Singh and Anmolpreet Singh came together at a crucial stage and completely changed the momentum of the match.
The pair attacked the Jalandhar bowling from the outset, combining powerful strokeplay with calculated hitting to keep the required run rate comfortably under control.
Ramandeep Singh was particularly destructive. He smashed an unbeaten 91 off just 35 balls, striking eight sixes and six fours during a breathtaking innings.
At the other end, Anmolpreet Singh provided outstanding support, remaining unbeaten on 61 from 29 deliveries. His knock included five sixes and four fours.
The duo put together an unbeaten 154-run partnership for the third wicket, taking Mohali Kings from 27 for two to 179 for two.
