MLA Kulwant Singh Reviews Public Issues During Bhagomajra Visit
MLA Kulwant Singh met residents of Village Bhagomajra, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 2 July 2026 during a community interaction programme organised to strengthen public participation, review ongoing development works, and discuss the future priorities of the village. The programme provided local residents with an opportunity to directly interact with their elected representative, raise civic concerns, and receive updates on the Punjab Government’s development initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, villagers highlighted several issues related to roads, drainage, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public infrastructure, and other civic amenities. MLA Kulwant Singh listened carefully to every representation and assured residents that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments for prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular community meetings help identify grassroots challenges and ensure that development projects are implemented according to the actual needs of local residents.
Residents were also informed about the major development projects and welfare initiatives implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali during the past four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, drinking water facilities, sanitation, public utilities, citizen services, and various welfare schemes that have contributed to improving the quality of life across both villages and urban areas. Villagers were encouraged to continue sharing constructive suggestions and actively participate in shaping future development plans for their village.
The programme highlighted the importance of regular dialogue between citizens and public representatives in strengthening transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. Community interactions improve coordination between government departments and local communities, create greater awareness about government schemes, and encourage active public participation in the planning and implementation of development works. Such engagement ensures that governance remains responsive to the aspirations of the people while promoting balanced and inclusive growth across Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that direct interaction with residents is essential for understanding local priorities and delivering meaningful development at the grassroots level. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening public infrastructure, improving citizen services, and implementing welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Gram Panchayat of Bhagomajra and all the villagers for the affection, respect, and warm welcome extended to him during the programme.
He further encouraged residents to continue participating in public meetings and maintain close communication with the administration. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the foundation of transparent governance, stronger public services, and sustainable development throughout the constituency.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, strengthening rural infrastructure, and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali.
