MLA Kulwant Singh Engages with Bhagomajra Residents on Local Issues
MLA Kulwant Singh met residents of Village Bhagomajra, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 2 July 2026 during a community interaction programme organised to strengthen public engagement, review ongoing development works, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for direct communication between citizens and their elected representative while providing updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents shared concerns related to roads, drainage, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public infrastructure, and other civic amenities affecting their daily lives. MLA Kulwant Singh listened attentively to every representation and assured the villagers that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments on priority. He emphasised that continuous follow-up would be maintained to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances and the effective implementation of development projects.
Residents were also informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali during the past four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, public utilities, sanitation, drinking water facilities, and citizen services that have significantly improved the quality of life across the constituency. Villagers were encouraged to actively participate in the development process by sharing constructive suggestions and helping identify local priorities for future planning.
The programme highlighted the importance of regular dialogue between citizens and public representatives in promoting transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. Community interactions help strengthen coordination between government departments and local communities, increase awareness about government welfare schemes, and ensure that development initiatives remain aligned with the actual needs and aspirations of the people. Such meetings also encourage greater public participation in building stronger and more progressive villages.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that direct interaction with residents is essential for understanding local priorities and ensuring that development reaches every village. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Gram Panchayat of Bhagomajra and all the residents for their warm welcome, affection, and active participation, stating that their valuable suggestions would continue to guide future development across the constituency.
He further encouraged villagers to remain actively involved in community meetings and continue supporting development initiatives through regular communication with the administration. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the foundation of transparent governance, better civic amenities, and sustainable long-term development throughout Mohali.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, strengthening rural infrastructure, and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through sustained investment in essential infrastructure, responsive governance, and active community participation, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building stronger villages, enhancing civic amenities, and creating a more prosperous, inclusive, and better-connected Mohali for all residents.
