MLA Kulwant Singh Reviews Public Issues During Manak Majra Community Meeting
A community interaction programme was organised in Village Manak Majra, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 2 July 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh met local residents to review ongoing development works, discuss public welfare initiatives, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for strengthening communication between citizens and their elected representative while highlighting the Punjab Government’s commitment to transparent, responsive, and people-centric governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents were informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across Mohali over the past four and a half years. Discussions covered improvements in roads, drinking water supply, sanitation, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, public utilities, and citizen services that have contributed to improving the quality of life across both rural and urban areas. Villagers also shared their suggestions, highlighted local issues, and discussed priorities for the continued development of Manak Majra.
Residents raised concerns related to civic amenities, including roads, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, and other public infrastructure. MLA Kulwant Singh carefully listened to every issue and assured the villagers that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments for prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular community meetings help identify grassroots challenges and ensure that development projects are implemented according to the needs of the people.
The programme highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue between public representatives and citizens to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public participation in governance. Such interactions create greater awareness about government initiatives, improve coordination between government departments and local communities, and ensure that development remains inclusive and sustainable. Community engagement also plays a vital role in shaping future development plans through valuable public feedback.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that meaningful development is possible only when governance remains closely connected with the people. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, expand citizen services, and implement welfare programmes that directly improve the lives of residents. He added that active participation by villagers is essential for ensuring balanced development and delivering better civic amenities across every village of Mohali.
He further encouraged residents to continue participating in public meetings and contribute constructive suggestions for the progress of their village. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the foundation of transparent governance and sustainable development.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through sustained investment in infrastructure, responsive governance, and active community participation, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building stronger villages, enhancing civic amenities, and creating a more prosperous future for the people of Mohali.
