MLA Kulwant Singh Holds Public Interaction Programme in Sohana
Continuing his commitment to accessible and citizen-centric governance, MLA Kulwant Singh participated in a Lok Milni programme in Village Sohana, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 27 June 2026. The programme provided local residents with an opportunity to directly interact with their elected representative, discuss village development priorities, and raise public grievances related to civic infrastructure, public services, and community welfare. The initiative reflects the Punjab Government’s continued focus on responsive governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents from different parts of Sohana shared concerns regarding roads, sanitation, drinking water, street lighting, public amenities, civic infrastructure, and other local issues affecting their daily lives. MLA Kulwant Singh patiently listened to every concern and assured the villagers that all genuine matters would be taken up with the concerned government departments to ensure prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasized that regular public interaction helps strengthen communication between citizens and the administration while ensuring that governance remains transparent, accountable, and people-centric.
The meeting also focused on the future development of Sohana village and the need to further strengthen essential infrastructure to meet the growing aspirations of residents. Discussions highlighted the importance of improving public facilities, expanding citizen services, and implementing development projects that contribute to better living standards. Community participation was encouraged as an essential element in identifying local priorities and ensuring that development initiatives remain aligned with the needs of the people.
Regular Lok Milni programmes have become an important pillar of citizen-focused governance across the Mohali constituency. These interactions provide a direct platform for residents to share their suggestions and concerns while enabling public representatives to better understand grassroots issues and coordinate effectively with government departments. Such engagement strengthens transparency, improves service delivery, and supports balanced development across both urban and rural areas of SAS Nagar Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that direct interaction with residents is essential for understanding public expectations and ensuring that development remains focused on the needs of every citizen. He stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is committed to improving public infrastructure, strengthening citizen services, and delivering inclusive development across every village and locality of the constituency.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Sohana for the warm welcome, affection, and continued trust they extended to him during the programme. He said that the love and support of the people serve as a constant source of motivation and inspire him to work with greater dedication for the welfare and development of the constituency.
The programme concluded with constructive discussions and a shared commitment to continue accelerating village development through responsive governance and active public participation. With sustained investment in infrastructure, improved public services, and regular engagement with local communities, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents and building stronger, more prosperous communities across SAS Nagar Mohali.
