Mayor Meets Residents to Improve Municipal Services
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different sectors, wards, and villages of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office during a public grievance meeting, where citizens shared various civic issues and development-related concerns affecting their localities. The interaction was organised as part of the Municipal Corporation’s ongoing commitment to maintaining direct communication with the public and ensuring that civic problems receive prompt attention through responsive governance.
During the meeting, residents highlighted a wide range of concerns related to roads, sewerage, sanitation, drainage, street lighting, drinking water supply, waste management, parks, cleanliness, and other essential municipal services. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana patiently listened to every representation, reviewed the issues in detail, and assured the citizens that all genuine grievances would be forwarded to the concerned departments for immediate examination and timely resolution.
Emphasising the importance of regular public interaction, the Mayor said that direct communication with residents enables the Municipal Corporation to better understand ground-level challenges and identify development priorities more effectively. He noted that such meetings strengthen transparency, accountability, and public trust while helping the administration deliver faster and more efficient civic services.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana directed the concerned officials to maintain close coordination with the respective departments and ensure that complaints received during the meeting are addressed without unnecessary delay. He stressed that continuous monitoring, timely follow-up, and effective grievance redressal are essential for improving the quality of municipal services and enhancing the overall standard of civic administration across Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people of Mohali and resolving their concerns remains his highest priority. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, modernising public services, and delivering transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance across the state. He assured residents that every genuine issue brought before the Municipal Corporation would receive sincere attention and that all possible efforts would be made to resolve public grievances at the earliest.
The Mayor also encouraged citizens to remain actively involved in the development of their localities by sharing constructive suggestions and reporting civic issues through appropriate channels. He said that meaningful public participation is essential for improving municipal planning, strengthening civic infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable urban development that benefits every section of society.
