SAS Nagar, Mohali: After assuming the responsibility of Mayor of SAS Nagar Mohali, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana visited Guru Ghar to pay obeisance and offer Ardas before Akal Purakh Waheguru Ji. The spiritual visit marked the beginning of his tenure with humility, gratitude, and faith as he sought divine blessings to serve the people of Mohali with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of public responsibility.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana bowed before Guru Sahib, participated in the Ardas, and prayed for the peace, prosperity, good health, and overall well-being of the residents of Mohali. He sought the blessings of Akal Purakh Waheguru Ji for wisdom, strength, and guidance to fulfil his duties as Mayor with sincerity, transparency, and compassion while working for the welfare of every section of society.
Addressing members of the Sangat, the Mayor said that public service is a sacred responsibility and that every decision taken by the Municipal Corporation should be guided by the principles of honesty, humility, and service to humanity. He added that beginning his tenure with prayers at Guru Ghar symbolised his commitment to serving the people with integrity and unwavering dedication.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the citizens of Mohali for placing their trust and confidence in his leadership. He said that the love, encouragement, and support received from the people inspire him to work tirelessly towards improving civic infrastructure, strengthening municipal services, promoting cleanliness, and ensuring balanced and inclusive urban development throughout the city.
The Mayor further stated that the Municipal Corporation will continue to focus on enhancing essential civic amenities, accelerating development projects, and resolving public grievances through transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance. He emphasised that regular interaction with residents and active public participation will remain central to achieving long-term and sustainable development in Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening local governance, modernising urban infrastructure, improving civic services, and ensuring welfare-oriented development across Punjab. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of all citizens and reaffirmed his resolve to work with complete dedication for the continued progress of SAS Nagar Mohali.
